The Enchanted Garden Synopsis
Our Maiden enters the garden of her homestead. It is a beautiful, sunny spring day. She frolics around the garden admiring the flowers and picking her mother a bouquet., Her Mother arrives with a picnic basket. As the maiden takes out her snacks her mother reads her a story: Mother Earth & Her Magical Garden. The Maiden falls asleep in the grass listening to the story. Her mother packs up the snacks, covers her up, and leaves her to nap in the sun. Mother Earth finds the maiden and wakes her up. She introduces the maiden to the spring flowers. The Spring Flowers dance around the Maiden causing such a fright. The Sun dances across the the stage changing spring to summer. The Summer Fairy arrives to awaken the garden for the summer months. She gives the Maiden a token of summer and dances away. The Fireflies come out and dance for the summer. A single leaf falls from the tree. It is almost time for fall. The sun arrives again and with her brings autumn. The Autumn Fairy dances to bring us into the cooler months of autumn. She leaves the Maiden with a token of fall. The rest of the leaves dance to ground leaving the trees bare. The Sun comes around again ushering us into winter. The Winter Fairy quiets everything in nature down for the winter. She gives the Maiden a snowflake to prepare. The snowflakes begin to fall, dancing all around the maiden falling to the ground. But just in time... the Sun comes back and brings with her warmer weather. The Spring Fairy brings her flowers and leaves back as she melts away the snow. She leaves the Maiden with a beautiful flower of spring leaving the Maiden in the garden where she first began her journey. Her Mothers comes back to check on her. The Maiden is in amazement over what just happened. She tells her Mother everything she just witnessed but her mother chuckles and tells her it was just a lovely dream... But the tokens??? As they leave to head back inside Mother Earth appears and waves her goodbye... It couldn't have been just a dream...

Miss Carol is the matriarch of our extended dance family. She taught many dancers at multiple studios over her extensive career. She has recently retired from teaching from the Park Forest Parks & Recreation Department where she has taught ballet for over 25 years. Many of us took our very first ballet classes with her. Many of us studied under her for decades and followed her around from studio to studio throughout the years. We have all grown to be be better people in this life because of her love and support in and out of the studio. Our dance today is our way to honor her. Without her, truly none of this would exist. We are so thankful for her and love. Please Join us in honoring this lovely ballerina that helped raise us all up in this life.
