Drances are the brain child of Jovani Robinson. A long time friend of Room To Move we are grateful he has chosen to hold these lively party's at our studio. A Drance is one part drum circle and one part dance party. Drances take place approximately once a quarter, check the calendar. They are 21+ , byob, & a unique cultural experience.

Lyndsey has been snapping photos at Room To Move since August of 2010. She offers approximately 6 workshops a year. These workshops provide a chance for all women to bring out their inner Diva. You don't have to be a model to be a Pinup for a Day. All it takes is a little creativity and a few props. Yes you can do it, ALL women are beautiful! Lyndsey also offers other photography services, both at the studio and on location. Contact her for more information on rates for maternity, boudiour, bachelorette parties and more.

Elizabeth (Lizzy) Hammond-Apea aka Mama Africa is a Ghanaian; Actress, Dancer, Drummer, Singer and Choreographer. She has been performing since 1967. Mama Africa has been part of our extended Room To Move family for 6 years. She has performed in our Time To Groove Showcase as well as taught many workshops while here in the states. She is happy to begin to again lay down roots here at Room To Move Studio with her weekly classes and workshops and we are grateful to have her!

A founding resident of Room To Move, Na'ama Rose is a well-seasoned, riveting performer. She is well known for her graceful, sensuous dance style. Na'ama is a devoted teacher and generously imparts her knowledge and skill with all of her students. She was one of the first dancers to receive a certificate in Egyptian dance from Egypt. Recently, Na'ama has expanded her class offerings at Room To Move by including Yoga to her weekly schedule. She teaches Iyengar-style yoga which uses props such as blankets, blocks, bolsters, belts, chairs, and mats for ease and comfort.

Riley first grabbed the attention of the extended Room To Move family when he hosted 2010's Time To Groove. Since then Riley's infections personality helped grow his Zumba program into the super fun, 'you can't believe your working out' dance party that it is today. He offers 5 Zumba classes a week at Room To Move as well as other locations across the south suburbs. He also hosts $12 drop-in Salsa Sundays and teaches private ballroom lessons in a myriad of styles. Riley makes fitness fun and easily attainable!

Supreme Martial Arts joined Room To Move in April of 2011. Instructor Dondrell Brown, Sr. has been studying martial arts for over a decade and has many awards for sparring and breaking. He saw the need to impart the concepts of respect, leadership, discipline and strength in order to gain confidence, wisdom, knowledge, and courage, to his students through martial arts. The youth today need positive role models and Room To Move is the perfect place to be. Instructor Brown and his five sons (Nyle, Donnie, Tyler, DeMarcus & Malik) have joined together to create SUPREME MARTIAL ARTS.
